About Brittany

Brittany Boney Portland LMFT Supervisor, Eating Disorder Therapist
“Owning our story can be hard, but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."

Brené Brown

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (OR license T1049; WA license LF60520041) and Approved Supervisor. In my practice, I work with individuals and couples who seek to increase connection, strengthening their relationships with themselves and others.

I completed my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University, and my therapeutic orientation has been shaped by focusing on systemic theory. I believe relationships and connection are powerful elements, and where we can experience the greatest change. I have worked in multiple treatment areas, including community mental health, intensive treatment for eating disorders, and a variety of private settings.

In my work, I combine my passion for stories and relationships with a blend of therapeutic approaches, including Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. In our work together, we will establish a trusting relationship where you can explore your stories, make sense of how you have arrived here today, and identify how you would like to go forward.
